Freestyle Disc

Between all the disc discipines, freestyle disc is without any doubt the more impressive and creative. Ability, showmanship and athletics skills are put together to buid and showcase an original and acrobatic perfomance. It can be played in teams or alone, indoor or outdoor, and it needs just a disc! Since it’s pretty impressive to the odience, it’s common to perform for shows or commercials.

There are a lot tournaments all around the world, beside the Worlds and Europeans Championships and all the results are used for the player ranking, which uses the best top eight results from each player. In the tournaments freestyle disc can be played in different formats: Open Pairs (two people team) , Open Coop (three people team), Mixed (one boy and one girl), Women (two girls). Every different format showscase a different way of freestyle disc, even if the tecniques involved are the same.

The most impressive thing to the people coming to the Frisbee world is that, like in all the others frisbee disciplines, judges are always the playes, using a special pool methods to avoid that a player/judge will judge his direct opposing team. Freestyle is judged on 3 main paths: Difficulty, Artistic Impression, Execution.
